SPOOKYVILLE: HAUNTED ALLEY

Get ready for a night of frights and delights at our ninth annual spooky neighborhood event.

 

Join us on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 6:00 PM in the alley behind 715-719 Van Buren Street, NW—in the heart of the Takoma neighborhood of Douglass Commonwealth (DC)—for a FREE hauntingly good time for all ages.

 

Come for the fun. Stay for the scares.

Peer into the future with our neighborhood mystic, Madame J! Step inside her candlelit corner of the Haunted Alley for a glimpse beyond the veil.

Trick-or-Treat Trail

Grab a map and follow the Trick-or-Treat Trail, collecting sweet treats. Visit every stop and mark your map with stickers to claim a magical prize!

+ S'mores

Gather 'round the (camp)fire for spooky tales and sweet treats. As the flames flicker and shadows grow, brave souls can enjoy spine-tingling tales from People's Book.

Join local favorite Merry Pin for potion making! Stir, shake, and bottle your own spooky  creation to take home. A little magic—perfect for witches & wizards of all ages.

Ghoul-Local Talent

Get ready to raise your spirits. Spookyville brings hauntingly good beats by local DJ Zach Pleasant and other performances from your talented neighbors!

Freaky Fish Fry

Feed your fright throughout the night! Beloved local haunt Takoma Station Tavern serves up crispy bites with a side of spooky flavor. Free while supplies last.

Terrifying Tunnel

Dare to enter Spookyville’s scare zone for brave souls and older ghouls. The alley is haunted, after all… and this shadowy stretch delivers chills, screams, and ghostly surprises.
